I don't know about you, but on my days off from writing, consulting, managing accounts and the home front, I slip into an adventure sheath and head out to locales unknown (to me anyway).
Today is one such day. A beautiful fall glint from the leaves outside, and six hours to myself before the family hustle. Heaven.
Or Paris in my case, which I'm certain is the same thing. I decided to take a drive to Edmonds, WA. to find a cozy place to read my recently acquired MFK Fisher book of essays and replenish storehouses of inspiration.
I've consumed Beef Bourguignon, Fresh Bread, Delicious Coffee and a Simple Salad here at Cafe de Paris in Edmonds. I am sated.
My suggestion the next time you are overwhelmed is to borrow my adventure sheath and find your Paris. It's closer than you think.
