So the other night I spent more time than I'd like to admit on teaching myself how to do it. If you have an easier way, please let me know!
1) Assuming you're on your phone, search for the Facebook business you want to tag using Safari or other internet browser. In my example, I wanted to mention The Old Hen Bed & Breakfast in Duvall owned by a friend of mine and social media expert.
2) I copied her Facebook address from the address bar and pasted it into a post using the Pages App for Facebook Business. The following is what the address looks like:
But we can't leave it like this, or when you publish your post it will give just this long link, which your readers won't understand. So we have to modify it.
Do you see the numbers between the 'id=' and the '&' symbol? That is the user id of the facebook user. *Note - make sure you're not copying the number after 'fbid' which shows up on some addresses.
3) Now you're going to want to condense that long line of letters and numbers into a simple code that Facebook will recognize and create a hyperlink in your post. You'll want it to look like this:
All I did was add an @ symbol and bracket at the beginning of the number, and a colon and bracket at the end. Now Facebook will make a proper mention and readers of your post will be able to click the hyperlink and read about that business. You might also find it helpful to use acronyms: ABCB "A-@symbol, B-bracket, C-colon, B-bracket.
That's all there is to it. I'll post the following message now on my Facebook page using my mobile device so you can see that it works. If you have any questions feel free to contact me! Go check it out on Facebook here.

Such a busy summer makes me want to get pampered and relax at The Old Hen Bed & Breakfast! She also has the best updates, and makes yummy food!
