A few months ago I shared a video about recycling Instagram images by deleting hashtags and reusing them. Doing this, at least back then, put your images back at the top of hashtag searches. Well, this is no longer the case, sort of. I've been playing around with deleting and either reusing hashtags, or using new ones. Here's what is happening now. Let's say you posted an image a week ago (like the one in this post) and want to have the image show up in a new hashtag today. The image now shows up in the new hashtag, but it's placed in the group of images posted a week ago. So, it is recycled, but instead of showing up as one of the first images you see, Instagram is placing it with the original time stamp a week ago, thus defeating the purpose of being able to recycle images. Ugh! Is this happening to you? If you find a work around let me know.
